Golf for Business
"I am going on a golf trip for work and I have never golfed before. What should I do?"
This is a very common scenario. My first and most important thought is this. No one minds a poor golfer but everyone hates a slow golfer. Be ready to play when it is your turn, take a max of 1 practice swing and then go. Should you have a devil of a hole, pick up your ball and walk up with the group and enjoy the conversation. You'll have another chance to dominate the links on the next hole.
Pay attention to where your golf ball stops. To hit it again, you'll need to find it.
Finally, remember that this is a game and if you are playing for business, how well you play will have little to do with whether you are invited back. How much fun you had will play a larger role.
